The qualitative research method, using semi-structured interviews and participant observation techniques was employed with a sample size of 8 CwDs, 4 teachers and two class observations in 4 primary schools in Kampong Chhnang province. The study found that the CwDs are included into primary education but their attendance rate was low in comparing to their non-disabled peers. School facilities were generally found not appropriate for them; and the relationship between the CwDs and teacher was depending on the type of disabilities. It was found that discrimination against CwDs still remains in schools and communities even if some correspondents said that discrimination against them has been reduced because the people believe that having CwDs in the community is a big burden and the economics of the community will grow slowly or be lower down. The study identified some basic needs for CwDs to schooling but, up to now, it was noticed that their needs were only given by NGOs, and it is only for whom living in the targeted working areas of those institutions. Last but not least, the study also found that there are three out of the 4 teachers interviewed have never heard and received any training on disability or Inclusive Education. There was only one teacher who used to receive training on Intellectual Disability once in 2012.enRoyal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP)Special educationInclusive educationDisability children's educationPractice of Inclusive Education in Primary Education in Remote Areas: Study in Boribo district, Kampong Chhnang provinceThesis
