The research approach adopted in this thesis includes qualitative with interview and group discussion. The findings from this research provide evidence that the perceptions of respondents are in favor of having a peace studies program at the university. Although some respondents hesitate on how this topic could be implemented with some reasons. The main conclusions drawn from this study is that having a peace studies program at universities is necessary with, no matter the short courses or subject study, degree but the program has to be strategic for future conflict prevention.
