Each year, a large number of university graduates enter the country's labour market but the majority of young people who reach the labour market are unqualified workers without any professional training. The quality of teaching and learning in the TVET centres is of a low standard and graduates of TVET courses are generally poorly prepared for employment. For that reason the Connected Schools project produced training videos and provided practical support to teachers in eight regional TVET centres aiming to improve the quality of classroom teaching and learning. This study reviewed the academic achievement of students from the intervention centres to that of students from non-intervention centres.
