This report sets out to present the current situation of the Basic Education system in Cambodia, and then analyzes a set of critical areas which need to be addressed if Education is to contribute effectively to the development of Cambodia and its people. This document included four sections. Section 1 gives the introduction including the purpose and context, and the interlinking of poverty and education in Cambodia. Section 2 mentions about situation analysis focusing on preschool and early childhood education, primary education and lower secondary education, basic skills training and literacy training. Section 3 describes about emerging crisis including funding, access. quality and relevance, and community engagement.
