It mentions about student repetition in Cambodia in 18 schools of 5 provinces and Phnom Penh city. In agreement with the MoEYS and UNICEF, the formal objectives of the current study have been formulated as follows: (1)-to determine the relationship between primary level repetition and important factors such as socio-economic background of students, the effects of the technical assistance, the quality of educational services and evaluation practices, school and cluster management practices; and parents' teachers' and students' perception of repetition. (2)-to identify the socio-economic characteristics and sex of the children most likely to repeat. (3)-to analyze the consequences of the high degree of students repetition with respect to the effects on students and the efficiency of the education system. (4)-to present sound recommendations for long and short term strategies through which to reduce repetition.UNICEF; SIDAenKampuchean Action for Primary Education (KAPE)repetition interpretationstudent repetition relationshipPreschool enrollmentPremature enrollmentstudent repetition consequencesstudent repetition definitionstudent repetitionstudent repetition reductionSchool governancestudent repetition criteriaattitudes toward student repetitionstudent repetition factorsstudent repetition situationStudent repetition in Cambodia: causes, consequences, and its relationship to learningArticle
