Summary:The aim of this study is to identify the SCL teaching methods used by the Tamadun Islam, Tamadun Asia dan Kenegaraan Malaysia lecturers and to examine the students’ perception in the teaching and learning of Tamadun Islam, Tamadun Asia and Kenegaraan Malaysia. In this study which uses simple descriptive analysis, information is gathered using questionnaire, which is distributed to students and lecturers. The questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS. The study finds that the lecturers of these three courses have used lecturing and group assignment approach as the standard SCL method in teaching. In terms of evaluation, it is mostly based on examination, test, group work and presentation. A small number of lecturers were also found to use various approaches other than the standard approach in teaching, learning and evaluation. The study also shows that the perception of Tamadun Islam, Tamadun Asia dan Kenegaraan Malaysia students’ towards the teaching and learning based on SCL is positive and shows a high level of acceptance. In general, the result of this study demonstrates that the implementation of SCL in the teaching and learning of Tamadun Islam, Tamadun Asia dan Kenegaraan Malaysia courses in UPM has been effective
