Description
Summary:Composite pipeline is well known now because they are able to show that they can drastically reduce losses caused by corrosion which usually occurs in conventional metal pipes in the oil and gas industry. RTP consist of three layers which are the inner liner, helically winded reinforced layers made of thermoplastic polyethylene (fibre-reinforced PE) or armoured wired and an outer thermoplastic cover. Multiple modeling and test have been conducted to determine maximum stress and strain a RTP can withstand before hitting failure.
