Description
Summary:High content of carbon dioxide found in biogas has become major challenge faced in biogas production as the presence of carbon dioxide degrades the heating value of biogas. Hence, biogas purification is very essential to capture and remove excess carbon dioxide in order to enhance its heating value as to be comparable with that of natural gas. This can be achieved by adsorption technique using a newly synthetic adsorbent which in this case, metal-organic frameworks is chosen to fabricated MOF-200 composite with graphene oxide (MOF-200/GO). Although there are abundance of techniques and adsorbents used for carbon dioxide adsorption, MOF200/GO has not yet been synthesized and studied its efficiency in capturing carbon dioxide from methane.
