Several other studies have carried our similar pretreatment process on biocomposite material and reported improvements on the mechanical properties. This research work intends to carry out both Ionic Liquid and conventional non-ionic liquid pretreatment on oil palm biocomposite for the determination of its improved thermal degradation kinetics and correlates the finding with the reported mechanical properties improvements in earlier research papers.
