In the case of Arabic language subject which is foreign language in Malaysia, this pandemic has brought the new paradigm in the process of teaching Arabic language. Therefore, in the light of that matter, this study has been done to find out the pedagogical approaches in teaching Arabic language and in the same time to explore challenges using those pedagogical approaches. The researchers conducted mix method research for this study which was participated by secondary school Arabic Language teachers in Malaysia, where a survey and 3 individual interviews were conducted. Thematic analysis on analyzing of data collection have been carefully applied. The result of this study identifies variety of pedagogical approaches that have been applied in the Teaching and Learning from Home (TLFH). The approaches include “Online Learning Session”, “E-textbooks”, “Online Quizzes”, “YouTube” and “E-Notes”. Apart from that, this study also highlights the challenges in the TLFH session namely teaching online skill, lack of e-teaching aid, and barrier of devices. The findings indicate that online teaching is a viable means for Arabic language subject but it needs flexibility due to the obstacles faced in its approaches.
