The experience of Malaysia as a leading developing country can be later on used by other developing nations. Since primary education plays an important role in shaping the new generation of each nation, the objectives of this paper are set to assess thepresent primary education system in view of its contributions to sustainable development and to propose approaches/methodologies to strengthen the system's contribution towards sustainable development.
