Summary: | There has been an increasing trend of responsible consumerism and sustainability practices among the young generation in Malaysia. Therefore, this research aims to investigate the impact of Sejahtera Responsible Consumerism on young consumers in Malaysia, with a focus on their awareness, motivations, and obstacles in adopting responsible consumerism practices. The motivation behind conducting this research is to explore the understanding of sustainable, ethical, and Sejahtera Responsible Consumerism practices and identify factors influencing consumption behaviors among the younger generation in Malaysia. The findings underscore the need for educational initiatives to raise awareness and understanding of responsible consumerism, addressing societal norms, lack of knowledge, and limited exposure. Collaborative efforts among stakeholders are crucial in fostering a culture of responsible consumerism. The study provides valuable insights for businesses, marketers, and consumer protection organizations to promote responsible consumption. In terms of theory. this research contributes to consumer behavior theory by exploring the impact of Sejahtera Responsible Consumerism on young consumers in Malaysia and understanding the factors influencing responsible consumerism practices, including awareness, motivations, and obstacles. In practice, it highlights the necessity of educational initiatives aimed at increasing responsible consumerism awareness among young consumers in Malaysia.
