Description
Summary:The monograph improves and develops phenomenological and microscopic models based on the mixing of rotational bands distorted by Coriolis interaction, and describes nonadiabatic behavior of energy and electromagnetic characteristics of excited states of nuclei, using the example of isotopes 156–164Dy and 172Yb, and also analyzes nonadiabaticity of E2– transitions in the 166Er nucleus in the microscopic approach. The monograph demonstrates the success of the phenomenological theory of the nucleus in describing the structure of deformed nuclei in the region 156<A<172. Another advantage of the monograph is that it predicts the properties of excited states of even-even deformed nuclei, which can serve as a starting point for further experimental studies. The monograph is intended for researchers involved in nuclear physics, as well as for graduate students and senior students of universities.
