Waqaf, in the simple term refers to the act of surrendering one's property so that the same is to be used and for the benefits of all Muslims. The main key reason for a person to commit the ownership of his or her property to Waqf is to seek the blessings of Allah S.W.T. and to bring oneself near to Him.
