يتناول هذا البحث قضية من القضايا الاجتماعية المعاصرة، وهي آثار تأخر الزواج في الفرد والمجتمع في بنجلة ديش، وتعتبر الأسرة ركناً من أركان المجتمع، والزواج هو الوسيلة الوحيدة لبناء هذه الأسرة، وبسبب تأخر الزواج أو هجره بالكلية فإن هناك أنواعاً كثيرةً من المشاكل قد تظهر وتنتشر، ولهذا أثارت هذه الظاهرة إشكاليةً على مستوى الفرد والمجتمع. واستخدمت هذه الدراسة المنهج الاستقرائي والوصفي؛ حيث تم استخدامه لجمع كل ما يتعلق بموضوع تأخر الزواج، ثم التعرف على أقوال العلماء المعاصرين والباحثين والخبراء في هذه القضية، والمنهج التحليلي للوصول إلى العلاج لهذا الإشكال. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج، من أهمها: أولاً: من مشاكل الشّباب البنغلاديشي المعاصرة هو الزواج المتأخر الذي يؤدي إلى مشاكل مختلفة. ثانياً: إن من أهم العوامل المؤدية إلى تأخر سن الزواج لدى الشباب البتغلاديشي هي المشكلة الاقتصادية، والعوامل الثقافية والاجتماعية، كما أن أكبر العوامل لدى الشّباب والفتيات لتأخر الزواج عدم الحصول على زوج مناسب. ثالثاً: الآثار السلبية لتأخر الزواج لدى الفرد هي مرض الجسم، مرض العقل، وانحدار خصوبة المرء. This research deals with a contemporary social issue, late marriage and its effects on individuals and Bangladeshi society in general. This phenomenon had raised problems at both individual and societal levels. This study adopted inductive and analytical methods. The inductive method was used to collect data related to the issue of late marriage and to identify the statements of contemporary scholars, researchers, and experts on this issue. Meanwhile, the analytical approach was used to explore solutions for the problems raised in this study. This study arrived at several findings. Firstly, late marriage is a contemporary problem among Bangladeshi youths which leads to various problems. Secondly, some of the important factors leading to delay in marriage among Bangladeshi youths are economic problems, cultural factors, and social issues of which the main factors contributing to this problem among youths are the lack of suitable and preferable candidates Thirdly, the negative effects of late marriage can be seen on an individual’s health whereby it can contribute to diseases to one's body, mind, and a decline in one’s fertility.
