Summary:Patients with anxiety disorder often present with multiple problems of various aspects; ranging from biological symptoms to social and psychospiritual concerns. Spirituality is a powerful resource which aids the recovery process. This first must be done through a holistic assessment of patient’s spirituality in the face of illness which enables us to address the unmet needs and utilise the unused spiritual potential in our treatment. This presentation will exemplify the fundamental steps in integrating spirituality in the management of anxiety disorder. Some instances of spirituality integrated therapy for anxiety will be discussed. . Relevant literature on religiosity, spirituality and psychotherapy will be cited and discussed.
