Industrial training is an important phase in student life. A well planned, properly executed and evaluated industrial training helps a lot in developing a professional attitude. It develops an awareness of industrial approach to problem solving, based on a broad understanding of process and mode of operation of organization. For 8 weeks training (8th July 2018 to 2nd September 2018) at Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) Daerah Segamat, most of the theoretical knowledge that have been gained during lecture session is put to test. Other than that, I also learned new things which is highway construction. I choose JKR Segamat as my industrial training place is because of I want to learn how the government sector work. Other than that, the office is near to my house, so it was easy for me and save a lot of costs. During my industrial training, other than learn about how engineers work, I also learn the pros and cons of being an engineer and of course it was not easy. My communication skills also improve during my industrial training. In this final report will divide in four chapters. Chapter 1 will include background of the company which is JKR's background. Next, organizational structure of my department which is maintenance department and building department. Nature of business also will be explained in this chapter. In the chapter 2, weekly summary of 8 weeks of activities during industrial training will be shared. While in the chapter 3, I will explain some of the engineer's work that I have learned, during this 8 weeks and also what the problem encountered and how to overcome it. Last, in chapter 4, the conclusion of my 8 weeks of industrial training will be listed down such as the lesson learned, knowledge gained, suitability of organization and limitations and recommendations.
