Description
Summary:Sign language is a gesture used by mute and deaf people to communicate with each other and normal people. However, platforms or learning material for normal people to learn sign language to understand mute and deaf people are limited since most of the platforms to learn have to pay and not everyone can afford the fee. Therefore, E-learning Sign Language Using Storytelling for Malaysian (ESL) is created so that it can be accessed by anyone and people do not have to pay to learn and provide more contents about sign language. The target users for ESL are the deaf, mute and normal people who want to learn sign language to be communicated with deaf and mute people. By using the ADDIE model, the project was going through five phases which are analysis phase, design phase, development phase, implementation phase and evaluation phase. In the evaluation phase, two tests which are usability testing and functionality testing were conducted to test the usability and function of the website. The results showed that all the functions of the website were functioning well and it is suitable to be used as a platform to learn sign language. In conclusion, the website was created to ease the normal people to learn sign language with an easier and more accessible website.
