Description
Summary:Zakat is the fourth pillars of Islam, in which it also known as a necessity to someone who has claimed that they are people of faith and have complete devotion only in Allah S.W.T. It is a practice of offering away a specialized percentage of earnings in some way, with specified criteria and settings, to those who identified that al-mustahiqqin (beneficiaries) and then the maqasid (purpose) of zakat payment is to assure the accomplishment of socio-economic objectivity and fairness. A Quran verse explained (2:215] "They ask you about giving: say, "The charity you give shall go to the parents, the relatives, the orphans, the poor and the traveling alien." Any good you do, God is fully aware thereof." Zakat is by far the most appropriate way that Muslims has taught itself to deal with issues like poverty in Islamic communities through the distribution from one earnings to significant beneficiaries. Malaysia has been doing well to gather up and allocate the zakat whenever it establishes a regional organization to handle the zakat. This research would further investigate the level of consciousness among UiTM lCEPS Johor students of the obligated to support income zakat and also the prospective payer between UiTM lCEPS Johor Students. This research is a quantitative study that used a regression analysis to evaluate the level of consciousness of UiTM lCEPS by Johor Students towards zakat. Simple random sampling technique was used to measure the Knowledge, Attitude and Religion to contribute Zakat Income. Pearson correlation has been used to measure the correlation among variables. 117 respondents participated in the survey.
