Without integration, the LRT network is stranded from most of the public transport network and most of the city, and it attracts a relatively low patronage. In addition, integration offers the potential to extend the catchment to those who live away from the stations and near the urban area and who offer the "mass" ridership which is necessary for viability. In this study, feeder-bus services covering major housing areas, school areas and other shopping areas in Gombak East.
