Summary: | This research is conducted in order to understand and to apply the theories related to the psychological horror genre in literature - namely short stories - based on two published horror short stories by Stephen King and subsequently interpreting the findings from the study into three original psychological horror short stories that focus on the "horror monster" and "repression" with three different possible effects on the three main characters in each respective story. The methodology of this research is of a qualitative research which comprised of analyzing and interpreting the information found into a form of anthologies. These three original psychological horror short stories can be found at the end of the report. The findings of this research would show how the repressed self would be reflected on an individual, namely the character. |
