| Summary: | In this artwork, I combine two media, traditional drawing and digital inking in this artwork. I first start off with manual drawing in order to get the quality of lines using artline pen. Then I scan the drawing and used Adobe Illustrator to fill in colors. I tried to apply the imperfect printmaking effect or style in this artwork to make it more stylize than the usual inking style. I can consider it as my prefered style of applying colors in my digital artworks. The imperfection caused in printmaking really caught my attention and I find it beautiful in its own way. Thus, becoming an inspiration to replicate it in my digital artwork during the inking process. Next, I used grain texture to make the illustrations more appealing and solid. Hence, making it less raw looking and to achieve the printmaking effect. I used the same subject matter I usually use in my previous artworks which are cat, yellow glasses, food and focuses more on the quality of lines. I hope by doing so, people can easily recognize my artwork and making it as my identity, representing myself in every artwork |
