Summary:Financial distress can be defined as a reaction, such as mental or physical discomfort, to stress about one's state of general financial wellness. Nowadays, people tend to spend more than they should be spending and later find themselves into deep trouble. One of the reason is that credit card is easily available. Researchers claim that there are large numbers of people who face financial difficulties in life. Therefore this study has been conduct for the use of education that may benefits many. Media and newspaper reports many issue related to financial difficulties which include crime cases involving credit card bankruptcies and also loan shark, these shows that people now are facing difficulties in financial which might lead them to have financial distress. This paper tries to investigate whether or not our people nowadays are financially distressed and also to find out the reliability of probability of the previous studies of determinant of financial distress. This paper used self-administered survey questionnaire to analyze the topic. The data were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences).
