Summary: | The Malaysian Academy of SME & Entrepreneurship Development (MASMED) at Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Pulau Pinang had an initiative to begin a project named ‘Gerobok rezeki’ which focuses on setting up a food bank for those who are in need. The objectives of such a project are to cultivate a positive value of helping each other, promote the concept of sharing sustenance without borders, and promote social responsibility targeted at those in need. The staff could donate any necessities and food. In UiTMCPP Permatang Pauh Campus, eleven faculties and departments were involved in this project. Four contributions were made in 2023, and each cycle lasted for six weeks. Fourteen staff from Akademi Pengajian Bahasa (APB) contributed at least RM 50 per person to buy the food and necessities for the food bank project throughout the four cycles. PM Dr. Hoe, Pn. Rosmaliza, Pn. Aileen and Pn. Maizatul contributed to the first cycle in January 2023. For the second cycle in April 2023, the contributors were Dr. Isma, Dr. Haslinda, Pn. Afiqah and Ms. Zanne, whereas Dr. Ilianis, Pn. Nazima and Pn. Noorli contributed to the third cycle in July 2023. Last but not least, Dr. Husna, Ms. Ong and Ms. Marni contributed to the last cycle of 2023. |
