Mobility and queue length aware routing approach for network stability and load balancing in MANET

Description
Summary:Traffic congestion and link failure are the two main issues in mobile Ad-hoc networks (MANETs). The destination node should receive the desired message from the source node with maximum throughput and minimum end-to-end delay. The delay in transmission is due to the high traffic causing greater size of Queue Length (QL). Therefore, this paper proposed a mobility and QL aware multipath (MQAM) routing approach based on Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) metric. The outcome evidence that the proposed MQAM routing approach effectively improves the performance metrics like throughput, PDR, end-to-end delay, and packet drops as compared to the conventional Multipath-Optimized Link State Routing (MP-OLSR) routing approach. © 2021 IEEE.
