Summary: | Hydroxyapatite Hap] is considered one of the most efficient biomaterials with a commonly accepted formula Ca-10PO4](6) 0H](2). To boost the biological and physical properties of the Hap crystal, a lot of elements such as Ag, F, Mg, CO3, Zn, Bi, and Na have been used for doping hydroxyapatite. In this study, the Silver-substituted hydroxyapatite (Ag-Hap) synthesized through chemical co-precipitation was investigated. The crystal structure, phase purity and functional groups of the synthesized sample were explored through X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transforms infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The surface morphology properties and elemental analysis by Scanning electron microscope (SEM), Energy dispersive X-spectroscopy (EDAX) are studied. |
