Summary: | This paper presents the theoretical investigation and experimental validation of an extrinsic optical fiber bending sensor based on intensity modulation with automatic compensation. The proposed optical fiber bending sensor can measure continuous bending movement in flexion, extension, and lateral directions, simultaneously.
