Organic extract as natural dye sensitizer for dye Sensffized solar cell
Conversion of solar light into electricity was successfully accomplished using hibiscus as the dye sensitizer. The solar energy conversion efficiency ( T/ = 0.11 %) was obtained, achieved up to a short circuit current Jsc = 0.96 mNcm2, open circuit voltage Voe = 0.268 V and fill factor = 0.43. This...

Summary: | Conversion of solar light into electricity was successfully accomplished using hibiscus as the dye sensitizer. The solar energy conversion efficiency ( T/ = 0.11 %) was obtained, achieved up to a short circuit current Jsc = 0.96 mNcm2, open circuit voltage Voe = 0.268 V and fill factor = 0.43. This is an interesting preliminary study for further development in alternative energy using rich biodiversity of Malaysia to promote sustainable energy sources. This paper reported and discussed the methodology and its limitation, as well as the role of the different TiO2 structure. |
