Dr. Rosline, Hassan, Dr. norsima.sidek@gmail.com roslin@kb.usm.my Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) Classification Screening System Link to publisher's homepage at http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/ The Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) includes a diverse group of clonal and potentially malignant bone marrow disorders characterized by ineffective and inadequate hematopoiesis [1]. Classically, French-American-British (FAB) scheme have been used as a tools to classify the subtypes of MDS. Nonetheless, due to some limitations, a recent re-classification proposal sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) has been made to overcome the limitations. Current data obtained suggest that MDS patients developed a clear dysplasia in all three myeloid lineages (erythroid, granulocytic and megakaryotic).
