The LDPE/CFF composites were prepared by using a Z-Blade mixer at 180oC and a rotor speed of 50 rpm. The LDPE/CFF-Treated composites exhibited higher tensile strength, Young's modulus, and final decomposition temperature but had lower mass swell percentage and elongation at break than the LDPE/CFF composites. An SEM morphology study showed that the CFF treatment could significantly improve adhesion at the interface and lead to ingress of the fiber into the LDPE phase. Thermogravimetric analysis indicated that the LDPE/CFF-Treated composites had higher thermal stability than the LDPE/CFF composites. 2014-05-25T03:38:02Z 2014-05-25T03:38:02Z 2014 Article Journal of Vinyl and Additive Technology, vol.20 (1), 2014, pages 36–41 1548-0585 http://dspace.unimap.edu.my:80/dspace/handle/123456789/34706 http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/vnl.21335/abstract en John Wiley & Sons, Inc./Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) |
