Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is a system to detect buried object in the ground. Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) uses the electromagnet wave to detect the object that buried under the ground. Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) can be used in a variety of item including soil, ice, fresh water, rock, concrete, structures and pavements. Ground penetrating radar (GPR) provides a method that is not intrusive and non-destructive measurement of the subsurface and Imaging Concrete. In this project it will divided into two parts measurement and simulation. First part is the measurement of dielectric constant of different soil under different condition using vector network analyzer (VNA). All the soil will be measured several times and the mean value from the measured soil will be recorded. Second part is simulation, by using computer simulation technology (CST) software, design horn antenna with operating frequency from 1GHz to 3GHz. Using horn antenna that been designed, modelling the ground penetrating radar (GPR) system with different type soil. The soil will be designed with three conditions like heat, normal and wet. All the soil data will be based on the measurement result. For simulation result it will focus on return loss result and E-field result. Analyse the relationship between the measurement result and simulation result. 2016-06-01T04:03:52Z 2016-06-01T04:03:52Z 2015-06 Learning Object http://dspace.unimap.edu.my:80/xmlui/handle/123456789/41803 en Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) School of Computer and Communication Engineering
