The main focus of this project is to design and construct a DC to DC boost type’s converter which is one of the main parts in solar electric system. By using solar energy, it can reduce cost and save environment. In addition, it also to ensure that the output voltage will be step up from 12 V to 24 V to make sure the effectiveness of the boost converter by using small energy input to produce a larger energy output. The 12 V input voltage source is from the battery storage equipment and the 24 V output voltages will be the input of the inverter in solar electric system. Proteus software was used for designed. This software requires student to learn and modifying the best design and ways to create and develop electrical circuit, which is boost converter. Then, all the parameter values that obtained from the hardware measurement are compared with the calculation estimation and the circuit simulation for validation purposes.
