The liquefaction of the natural gas is one of the important processes in the world. Nowadays, there are many liquefaction of natural gas technology that has been discovered. This is because; the human demand on the natural gas production is increasing from day to day. Now, there are many technologies that have been proposed by the scientist to increase the production of natural gas in order to fulfill the human need. The example of the liquefaction of the natural gas technology or process is the PRICO, MR-X, AP-X, AP-N and C3MR. The AP-N liquefaction of natural gas processes is the new technology that has been discovered and introduced to world by air product and that why it has been name APN. This AP-N process is the modification that has been done to the nitrogen expander cycle technology which used a single component refrigerant. This process used nitrogen N2 for the process and doesn’t has precooling stage compared to other technology of the liquefaction process of natural gas. For all information, this AP-N liquefaction process is specialized for the floating transportation technology such as ship. For the simulation and analysis for AP-N process, we have chosen the DWSIM open source software in order to determine the value of coefficient of performance (COP). After finished the simulation and analysis, we need to make decision whether the result that we get from the simulation is acceptable or not. If the value that we get is fulfilled the thermodynamic perspective that means our simulation is success and we can try other liquefaction of natural gas process by using this software. 2021-03-01T08:00:38Z 2021-03-01T08:00:38Z 2016-05 Learning Object http://dspace.unimap.edu.my:80/xmlui/handle/123456789/70047 en Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP)
