Summary: | The main purpose of this study was to identify the level of stress which caused by work-family conflict between men and women workers and to determine the factors (work and family) that i'1fluence a stress to these workers. The sample of this study consisted of 23 men and 27 women workers at Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC). The findings showed that there was no significant difference in level of stress between men and women workers. T-test and one-way ANOVA were used to analyses the demographic factors that influence the level ofstress and also to compare which workers suffer most. The finding indicated that all the chosen demografic factors have no significant relations with the stress. Correlation was also used to analyse between level ()l stress with factor of work and family. The findings shows that the three factors were significant with stress; that couple factor (P=O.OOO, r= 0.801) (moderately strong negative correlation with stress). Meanwhile, the factor of relationship and responsibility were both (P=O.OOO, r= 0.484) and (P=O.OOO ,r=0.849). For the family factors, two of three factors which are both workload and total of time work were significant and both were (P=O.OOO, r= 0.604) and (p=0.OI5, r= 0.343). The only factor that the hypotesis doesn't shows any significant relation to stress level is officemates. |
