The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and its related constructs with decision making among undergraduates of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). This study is a quantitative study that utilizes questionnaires adapted from Greene (2014) for emotional intelligence and its constructs and MindTools (2018) for decision making. Using stratified sampling, 100 male and 100 female respondents were gathered for this study. Pearson correlation was used to test the relationship between emotional intelligence and its constructs with decision making. The study asserts that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and decision making among undergraduates. The constructs of emotional intelligence, self-management and social awareness indicate a significant relationship exists with decision making. However in terms of self-awareness and relationship management, results indicate no significant relationship with decision making. Using Independent T-test, there are no gender differences in terms of emotional intelligence and also decision making among undergraduates. It is hoped that this study will be beneficial to related stakeholders and future research.
