Summary: | The purpose of this study was to measure the level of awareness on mental health among registered counselors in Sarawak. This study also identifies demographic factors that affect the level awareness of mental health among registered counselors in
Sarawak. In addition, there are some problems to be studied in this research. The level of awareness on mental health is divided into two fractions, which are the level of knowledge and stigma on mental health. There are two questions in this study, to what extent demographic factors affect the level of knowledge and how far demographic factors affect the stigma of mental health. Based on the findings, there was a significant
correlation between the demographic factors and the level of mental health awareness among Sarawak registered counselors. Finally, based on the research findings, this research also emphasizes the importance of mental health awareness in order to improve the counselor's competence and counseling profession's services in the field of mental health. The researcher also gave some suggestions on improving the quality of the counseling profession and suggestions for improving the research in this field for future research. |
