The water stored in the tank will be used for daily usage such as cooking and cleaning. As such, regular check-up and maintenance of water tank are important to closely monitor the quality of water stored in the tank. Smart Water Tank System can ease the monitoring process to maintain water storage tanks and also reduce the risk of manual water tank inspection. For this project the objectives are to design a smart water tank system which can be fitted or attached to most of the existing water tank in the market, to design a system which gathers information such as water quality and water level to provide real-time feedback to the user and to design a user-friendly application or interface for the user to view information from smart water tank system in easy way. The project scopes include both software and hardware implementation of Smart Water Tank System. Software implementation is the development of the system for it to be able to achieve desired objectives. Hardware implementation is developing the enclosure to effectively house all the components of the Smart Water Tank System. To gather necessary information for this project, a survey has been conducted to study the requirement of a Smart Water Tank System within the community. From the survey, several key characteristics has been identified and conceptual designs are generated based from it.
