It is undeniable that most jets for example jets in rockets and Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL) aircrafts impinge on flat surface, but that does not mean all jets have to impinge on flat surfaces. Sometimes jets are required to impinge on curved surfaces, and this is very common in the field of manufacturing. The behavior of the fluid upon impingement is extremely important and should be studied as the factors like temperature, velocity and density of the fluid will highly affect the products manufactured, thus these factors have to be under control in order to produce the desirable products.
