The experimental setup was done using a diesel engine, producing exhaust emission at 210°C. In order to determine how much energy recovered by the Stirling engine, three experiments were conducted. The first experiment was done to measure the rotation of flywheel of the Stirling engine while the second and third experiments were done to measure the voltage and current of the generator using a multimeter. From the data obtained for the three experiments, few results can be achieved. From a temperature range of 190°C to 210°C, the energy recovered in the experiment is in the range of 2.1592x 10-7% to 2.6794x 10-7%. Besides that, at the temperature of 210°C, the mechanical power produced by the Stirling engine is 0.9570 W and the power produced by the generator is at 0.5760 W. The loss of power is 0.3810 W. Although the power produced and energy recovered are small, the capability of the Stirling engine in recovering wasted energy shows the possibilty of application of waste energy recovery system from the exhaust emmission and at the same time producing zero pollution to the environment. 2024-08-22T07:47:02Z 2024-08-22T07:47:02Z 2017 Resource Types::text::Final Year Project https://irepository.uniten.edu.my/handle/123456789/33295 en application/pdf
