Summary: | This study focus on behaviour of natural fibre from ground Kenaf and Pineapple for automotive interior application. The fabricated material was tested for mechanical and physical properties to define similarity of properties as suggestion of replacement with existing polymer used in automotive interior. The process of creating the composite material involves mercerization, manual fabrication and mechanical test. The data was collected and analysed, needs an improvement on strain and impacts strength to reach the standard. Based on tensile test done, the result of 100% Kenaf and 100% Pineapple has achieved required tensile strength for both dashboard and bumper. Next, strain result for all material fabricated composite shows 4 times higher than strain of dashboard |
