Summary: | Biofriendly Mg sacrificial anode according to the present invention is developed without
addition of hazardous additive elements such as Hg and Pb. Furthermore the usage of
SF6 as a cover gas during melting process prevents the global warming problems by
addition of Ca. It has a capability to enhance the anode efficiency and increases the
driving potential which equal to or better than a current commercial High Potential Mg
Anode. There is no doubt that this product has high prospective to be used for various
electrochemical environmental soil. Additionally, the addition of Ca to the Mg sacrificial
anodes capable of providing stability melts when manufacturing the Mg sacrificial anode
based on protection effect of the melts surface where Ca has a capability to contributes a
low melting point modification casting processing. It is also possible to obtain a reducing
effect of spark caused by oxidation of Mg during melting. The fabrication of this invention
product improves the limits of the cast work by simplifying the casting process. In general,
this Mg sacrificial anode according to the present invention has not only has huge potential
to reduce cost of operation as well as manufacturing but at the same time could provide a
superb protection to avoid corrosion-induced leaking of underground pipeline (or buried
iron based structure). |
