The system can read the data on energy consumption and manage the data in the cloud by using the IoT platform. The system also able to collect and analyse in real-time energy consumption. The microcontroller- based energy meter is proposed, for read data, using several components, i.e. digital energy sensor (current sensor), NodeMCU ESP8266, and Wi-Fi module. The microcontroller receives the measured data from the sensor and calculated using developed algorithm, then data sent to the IoT cloud.
