Description
Summary:This study aims to optimize a technique of glucose concentration detectionby using a fiber-optic displacement sensor, and the glucose concentration is varied between 4.7% and 20.0%. Fiber optic displacement sensor used He-Ne laser with 632.8 nm wavelength as the laser source. Five different concentrations of glucose solution were prepared for this study. The sensor's performance is evaluated by measuring the output voltage in a glucose solution. The voltage increases linearly as the glucose concentration increases, resulting in recorded peak voltage sensitivity of approximately 0.80 mV/%. The advantages of this sensor are its affordability, stability, high sensitivity, and simple design, which all contribute to its capability to measure glucose levels in real-time.
