Summary:The main purpose of this paper is to perform engineering analysis for the designed stair climbing hand truck. Engineering analysis includes finding critical stress inside every components of the hand truck so that the materials and dimensions which are pre-assigned can be changed if necessary. Maximum deflection for each component is also investigated. Minimum torque required, as well as motor speed and power is also determined. Furthermore, analyses on the critical assembly are also performed to investigate whether the mounting techniques are reliable or not.
