Description
Summary:E-learning has become an increasingly popular learning approach in higher educational institutions due to the rapid growth of Internet technologies. E-learning is the use of information and communication technology (ICT) to enhance and facilitate teaching and learning. This study examines the application of e-learning model to explain acceptance of the e-learning technology within the academic settings. The study confirms that in order to foster individuals’ intention to use an e-learning, positive perception on e-learning use is crucial. By using linear regression analysis, the study verified that, while attitudes have influence on intention to use, the actual e-learning use has significant effect on students’ academic performance. E-learning use is associated with increased students’ academic performance. Recommendation was that, training and information sessions on e-learning need to focus primarily on how the e-learning technology can help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of students’ learning process.
