Description
Summary:The research incorporates a survey of the relevant to the prediction of the circular anchor plates performance in the experimental study which includes the experimental works of quantifying uplift capacity and influence of embedment ratio during tests. This paper investigated experimentally the behavior of anchor plates buried and developed analytical expressions to estimate the uplift capacity of circular anchor plates in cohesive soils. The paper observed that the ultimate uplift capacity is dependent on the relative strength of the cohesive soil layer, undrained or drained cohesion conditions and the depth ratio of embedment.
