Effect of handling time to supply chain management in construction industry
Following its success in other sectors, the importance of supply chain management (SCM) has increasingly been recognized in the construction industry. Rationalization of activity in the supply chain process leads to a lowered production time and increased productivity. The instance of productivity i...

This thesis describes the introduction of supply system and effectiveness of a simulation modeling approach by using project simulation process in construction. The purpose of this project is to simulate the transportation process of precast component from the suppliers (vendors) to the construction sites. It is in order to determine the factors which effect on the transportation process time. The required data had been collected by sending a questionnaire to the selected case study. The simulation model built by using Witness 2004 software, to simulate the current state of the project supply chain and come with improvement for future improvement.
