Description
Summary:Ubiquity of computers is prevalent. In every place and field they can be seen. In the field of education too they have become popular, though not up to the expected mark. Research shows that there are many issues blocking their full-on growth. Technology in education domain is mostly used in administrative purposes and e-learning. Though, the e-learning trend is still catching up with the administrative use in terms of number. An important part of the whole learning process is assessment. Surprising as it might seem, use of technology in assessment is very far off as compared to e-learning. This work encompasses the area of computer in assessment or e-assessment. Acceptance of a system is the first step towards use of it. In this study the acceptance of e-assessment has been studied. In this study teachers or lecturers at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia- Kuala Lumpur (UTM-KL) were the unit of analysis. What is it that promotes use of a particular system or technology? Why is it that some technologies become popular and some fade away? These and other related questions have been answered in this research work.
