The aim of this study is to investigate on how entrepreneurial self-efficacy influences academicians to successfully commercialize their research product. This article reviews the literature on commercialization concept which includes mechanisms and challenges. Various literatures related to entrepreneurial self-efficacy were also assessed to understand the concept of entrepreneurial self-efficacy role in academic context. This article attempts to understand how role of entrepreneurial self-efficacy can influence academicians to overcome commercialization challenges. This paper found that different level of entrepreneurial self-efficacy influence academician to pursue commercialization activity successfully. This paper will help in understanding on how entrepreneurial self-efficacy can influence academician in conducting commercialization behavior. This will help university to encourage academician to conduct commercialization activity despite obstacles that they face.
