This report briefly the current information and update on isolated endiandric acid analogues and their pharmacological studies. The informations on both genus were gathered via internet using scientific databases such as Google Scholar, MedlinePlus, Pubmed, SciFinder, Scopus and Web of Science. A literature survey shows that both genus are mainly known for their endiandric acid analogues with antiapoptotic proteins, which emphasize the existence of various potential leads to develop new anticancer agents. Modern pharmacology studies have also demonstrated that their phytochemicals possess wide pharmacological activities, which are anti-inflammatory, cytotoxic, antibacterial, antiplasmodial and antitubercular activities.
